TMUA9 School
A free course for the TMUA, run as a cohort. Open lectures for everyone, small supervisions for the students we admit.
The cohort
A short form and your week: a calendar of the hours you can make, in your own time zone. Students and tutors both apply here; a tutor picks Tutor on the form.
Every application is read in person. The answer comes by email.
Admitted students go into a supervision: one tutor and five to ten students whose hours overlap with theirs. Until then, the lectures are already yours.
Lectures for the whole cohort, your supervision every week, practice on every official paper, and your work set and read by your tutor.
Open
For everyone. Taught by Jamie Baek, 9.0 on the TMUA. The whole cohort in one room on Google Meet, recorded and put on YouTube afterwards. You don't need an account to watch: the next one is on the live page.
Admitted
For the students we admit. One tutor and five to ten students, grouped by the hours they share. Your own Google Meet each week, recorded for the group, attendance taken, a Discord channel of your own. This is where the work gets checked.
The tutors
The people who run the supervisions. Every one of them sat the exams they teach.

Today
Open to everyone, every week, recorded.
One tutor, five to ten students, on Google Meet, recorded for the group, attendance taken.
Three to eight people talking maths without a teacher.
Every official TMUA paper, timed or untimed, marked when you finish, your best score kept per paper.
Your supervisions and the lectures in your own time zone; Join opens ten minutes before.
One channel per cohort.
A PDF or a past paper, a due date, your tutor's comments.
There isn't one for you. Polymatique is free because it isn't the product: it's how we find the people who'll teach for TMUA9. What limits a tutoring house isn't students, it's tutors good enough to put in front of them. The students who come through Polymatique are the tutors we want next, and the tutors who apply now are the ones we want first.
So admission is selective, the course is demanding, and nothing in it is watered down for being free.
Think of it as an audition we pay for.
Apply
Tutors apply the same way: pick Tutor on the form.
The lectures are free and need no account: see what's on.
